I have a student-centered teaching style. That means I see at what level the student is and meet him/her at that level. Then we together move up to where he/she needs to be.
I have taught for many years in all levels of secondary school, alternative schools, and tutoring centers.I eat, sleep, and drink tutoring as I tutor every day during the school year and do lots of research to help my kids in whatever academic subject is causing them difficulty. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy helping students find the writer within them! For example, a few of my own children were reluctant writers, so I developed a daily routine of assigning them to write a full page about anything they desired. The creativity surfaced with a vengeance, let me tell you! Showing the most resistant student how to grab the bull by its proverbial horns and conquer his fear of writing is so rewarding. Helping the academically-motivated, older student to shine as a writer is also a great feeling. Writing is the type of skill that is critical to all other subjects, and I love to equip students with a solid skill set!
