Chemistry is one of my top subjects! This is a difficult subject for many students, especially if they are not strong in math. I have always enjoyed helping people to understand these beginning concepts in a way that they can remember them and use them as they progress to other classes! M.S. in Chemistry plus 3 years Junior College teaching experience and 15 years of tutoring experience.

I obtained my Master's Degree with the intent to teach. I did teach for 3 years at a small Junior College, then moved into industry. However, even while I was working in industry, I tutored several students over the years. Several of my previous students have gone on to Pharmacy School, three have acquired their PharmD degrees. Another student has just completed her Physician's Assistant program at a very competitive institution. Chapter 31 VA Voc-Rehab Provider. I worked 2 years as an adjunct professor at the University of Florida and was a volunteer instructor at Brigham Young University. I speak Japanese fluently and am semi fluent in German.

A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is really one of encouragement, love, belief, knowledge, honesty and respect. I believe that children need to know that you are truely concerned for them before they really want to know how much knowledge you can dispense to them. As an elementary student in the 4th grade I had a reading deficiency and was reading on a 1st grade level. It my parents and tutors that gave the encouragement to continue trying and the self-esteem to know that I could do it. They all believed in me and it was through their belief that I began to believe in myself. This lesson has stuck with me throughout all of my education.
