Math Can be Fun!

I have been tutoring in mathematics from basic elementary math to Calculus I for the last 10 years. Studying engineering showed me how meticulous I had to be with my study habits and I am now able to teach other students these same tips. I currently work as a tutor at Gulf Coast State College where I am familiarized with the material and common questions daily. I also offer freelance tutoring for students of all ages.
My teaching style is for the student to be methodical with their work and identify key words. I offer correction but also like to be patient to truly understand which part gives the student a struggle.

I have been tutoring peers since before high school in math and science and as I have gotten older I have continued tutoring peers, colleagues, college, high school and middle school students. In addition to tutoring, I have been teaching off and on throughout my entire college and graduate school careers. I started teaching general chemistry labs in 1998 while I was a student at Mercer University and continued teaching until I graduated in 2001. A Little Bit About Me...

As a student attending Florida State University's Civil Engineering program I was required to regularly learn, understand and apply complex mathematical equations, and scientific concepts to both hypothetical and real world problems. I was also required to regularly exercise my grammatical skills through regular lab reports. In regards to tutoring experience, as a high school student attending A.C.
