A Little Bit About Me...

For the previous 12 years I have enjoyed a career in education. I taught dance for three years to ages 6-18, taught biblical studies and music to ages 3-13 for 1 year and volunteered through my social organization as a tutor in an underpriviledged community school for 1 year. As a special education major and history minor, I have learned so much about helping children succeed. I am currently working toward my bachelors degree at Brenau University. This has enabled me to do various field experiences and an internship that deals with children of various ages. I have worked with all subjects from grades K-12. I have a social studies concentration with my major.
I enjoy working with all children. I believe that my teaching should be differientiated to fit the learning style of each student I work with. Though I have not had much experience tutoring children, I have served as a Sunday school teacher. I am an intelligent individual who does not mind sharing knowledge with others, particularly children. I obtained a BS from Bennett College in Biology and graduated with a 3.77, which placed me in the number 8 spot in my graduating class. I work well with children because I come from a large family. I have a combined total of 9 nieces and nephews, so understanding kids is something I have had to master.
