My comments on tutoring Genetics : Genetics was one of my favorite classes as an undergraduate biochemistry major and is an area I am considering attending graduate school to study.

I believe in adapting the teaching style to suit the student's learning style. Teaching English in China, I adopted a practical stance, teaching useful words and grammar and reinforced their reading lessons. The student's learning goals and reason for seeking tutoring should dictate the teaching style, however.
I spent the last year teaching English in China. I have experience teaching ESOL, and am experienced dealing learners of English of a second language. I studied Chinese during my stint there and am willing and able to tutor beginning students of the Chinese language who want to develop functional skills in Mandarin for career or personal development.
