I have been a one-on -one paraprofessional at the elementary school level, teaching all subjects. I have also been a substitute teacher for eight years in prek-eight grade taching all subjects. I enjoy teaching all ages. I have found the most satisfying experience in helping a student reach his/her potential and see their self-esteem grow immensely as their academic achievements grew. Teaching comes second nature to me. I believe that all students can learn, but each person requires a different style of instruction in order to fully understand the subject. I provide multiple kinds of instruction while keeping a patient and easy going mentality. It is my goal to help each student not only come to understand the subject, but be able to apply it in real life settings. This type of teaching can make a difference in each of my students' lives.
As a University of Connecticut graduate, I was very driven by my passion for the sciences. I earned a BS in pathobiology with a minor in molecular and cell biology. I was a well rounded student which has afforded me skills in math, psychology, and English.
