Education has always been extremely important to me. I have recently retired, having taught third grade for over thirty years. I worked in the public school system during this time, tutoring Math. One of the most rewarding experiences of my life was the time I spent tutoring at the Literacy Council in Grove City, Pa. Taking someone who could not read, teaching them one-on-one phonetically and then hearing back from one of the council officials that the person had passed the literacy exam with flying colors made me immensely happy.
