A Little Bit About Me...

My diverse academic career has provided me with a greater knowledge and understanding of Mathematics than many of my peers. I have taken numerous courses in Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and Exercise Science since I hold a B.S. in both Mathematics and Exercise Science. These classes have prepared me to teach a variety of complex topics.I have organized and taught many different classes in Mathematics and other subjects during my experiences with the Philadelphia Urban Seminar, and vacation bible schools. Growing up, I assisted my siblings with Math and Science while being home schooled and tutored friends in high school in Math.

As a Penn State graduate, I earned a B.S. in Earth Sciences with a minor in Chemistry, assisting a paleoclimatology laboratory on campus for three years. I then enrolled at Bloomsburg University as a graduate student for a M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction, and worked as a graduate assistant. I then completed student teaching at Williamsport Area School District in a high school chemistry class and a middle school science class. I am a certified chemistry teacher for the state of Pennsylvania with all proper clearances and references, including Act 34, 114, 151, and several personal references. I have always had a love of learning that led me to a career in teaching. I have earned two bachelor degrees, a BS in Chemistry (a subject which I have always loved and understood) and a BS in Physics (a subject which gave me great difficulties in high school but a subject which I have come to enjoy). I also have earned an MA in Education that has given me a large number of tools to teach many different types of students.
