My comments on tutoring Russian : I am a native Russian speaker, fluent in English. I graduated from the University of Perm, Department of Philology, Russia, in 1983, and was awarded the honor degree of Master of Education with major in Russian Language and Literature. I taught classes in Russian language and literature for 15 years in Russian Public School System. Now I have more than 10 years of experience of teaching Russian in US to groups and individuals of various backgrounds ranging from beginners to advanced level students.(Berlitz language school, Cartus Intercultural and Language solutions and private) My lessons are always tailored for student’s needs.

My teaching style is more along the lines of the Montessori system. Given the freedom and much direction from the tutor, the student will often "discover" the essence of the lesson. In discovering the essence of the lesson, the student will take ownership. In taking ownership, the student in turn will develop pride, self worth, and a thirst for more knowledge and more successes.
