I have more than 8 years of tutoring experience in chemistry/basic science at the college level. I can help with methods to study for test, work on course material, and develop a deeper understanding of the course material. I currently work in the chemical industry which helps me apply the material the student is learning to real-life research and development of products. I recieved my PhD in physical chemistry from Penn State University and tutored my entire time there.
I try to use real world applications related to the student's area of interest to make the material stick in the student's head rather than the ineffective method of brute memorization.

I loved working with the students in the Mission Acceptance program. I learned that each student has his or her own path to understanding the material and needs to be approached in a unique way.
