A Little Bit About Me...

I loved working with the students in the Mission Acceptance program. I worked as a team leader, so I had the opportunity to work with a group of fellow mentors as well as students, which provided me experience with a variety of different students. I learned that each student has his or her own path to understanding the material and needs to be approached in a unique way. The most important of the factors are the subject matter and the students learning style. The learning style of the student has to be considered when teaching. Helping a student learn requires finding the most effective method. You want to make sure they understand the subject matter while exposing them to other possible ways to approach difficult problems.
