I have earned both a MA and a BS in Urban and Regional Studies from Minnesota State University. I spent 15 years working in local government management. Throughout my career, I have taken opportunities to hire and mentor graduate student interns. Several of these interns have gone on to successful careers in local government management and planning. A Little Bit About Me...

After sub teaching the last couple of years I have found most kids want to learn but need a lot of "structure". If their personal "structure" isn't there it is difficult for them. This is also true for kids who are advanced. I believe in no cell phones, electronic devices, and trying to figure out what each child strengths and weaknesses are and then use those strengths to help them learn. I am not against having background music playing during homework time because it doesn't bother other children. It is a problem however in the classroom.
