I have earned both a MA and a BS in Urban and Regional Studies from Minnesota State University. I spent 15 years working in local government management. Throughout my career, I have taken opportunities to hire and mentor graduate student interns. Several of these interns have gone on to successful careers in local government management and planning. Recently, I was accepted into the Educator Preparation Institute at St Johns River Community College. I am currently waiting for my certification from the Florida Department of Education, to teach math from grades 6 to 12, and chemistry from grades 6 to 12. I was a substitute teacher in the Folsom Cordova School District in California during the 2007-2008 school year. I am currently working a substitute teacher in the Flagler County, Florida School District. I have worked as an engineer for 3M, ITW, Medtronic, and Waste Management. I have two patents.
