EXCELLENT EDUCATOR!!!

My teaching and classroom management style is very authoritative. I like to set clear and concise classroom rules and expectations. Teachers should take time to set rules in a visible place for students, review them daily, and have consequences when the rules are not followed. However, students will be acknowledged for doing the right thing through classroom recognition or a prize. Students should have a set routine each day. This will allow them to know and understand what to expect with the classroom. If the routine has to be changed, this is explained ahead of time and students are guided into the transition. This will alleviate discipline problems.

My experiences have been varied. I taught Family and Consumer Science for two years. Life experiences broadened my world view and I obtained a master's degree. My experiences include working in a governor’s office, years of substitute teaching several subjects in grades 3-12, and working as an administrative assistant. I later was a school counselor in a K-12 system and then did community counseling and owned a counseling center.
