I believe that every student learns differently. I enjoy working one-on-one with students to give them an explanation that is meaningful to them. As I have just finished my Master's degree in Education at the University of Vermont, I spent the last school year in Montpelier high school working as a chemistry intern and tutoring students on an as needed basis. I have tutored a few students in math, as my Bachelor's degree has given me a strong background in math and science. I have had a deep interest in helping people since I was a young child. Seeing someone succeed because of my help is one of the greatest motivators for me, especially when it's "against the odds". As a college student I tutored the students who really wanted to learn but couldn't through no fault of their own--those with learning disabilities and non-native English speakers. A Little Bit About Me...

I started tutoring in 9th grade, and continued until my freshman year of college. I tutored middle school and high school students in math, sciences, and social studies. In college I tutored in Level 1 and 2 French, Psychology, and College Level Algebra. I have tutored both male and female students, and have worked with people with reading and learning disabilities.
I love working with people, and have a lot of patience. I work hard to let the student work through problems themselves before assisting them.
