A Little Bit About Me...

Teaching and working with children has been a passion for me since middle school when I was still a child myself. My advantage of working with children this young is that I understand them better then and now as an adult so I can find an effective teaching style that will help them grow. I've also taught a variety of students from deaf and hard of hearing to ESL students and am able to easily adapt to their needs and hardships. I love children and nothing is as rewarding as watching them grow, learn and gain confidence for their lives in the future.

As an Arizona State graduate, I have spent many years deeply focusing on English Literature. This has expanded my knowledge on the importance of in depth reading and writing. I have tutored both high school seniors and various levels of college students in English Literature and assisted them with their writings. I also have experience with creative writing and editing, during the time I spent as an intern for an online woman's magazine, Kalliope.
I am passionate about Literature and writing and am therefore knowledgeable on the subjects. As a graduate of PLNU, I always new that I wanted the challenge to teach High school. I have always been driven in education, whether is it working with youth in a camp setting or a class room setting. I feel that not everyone works well in a class room and that is okay.
