We are a team of experienced teachers and tutors each specializing in our own subject strengths. We provide excellent customer service, possibly immediate or same day for homework help or project completion. Online tutoring is also available with a shared online whiteboard for step-by-step problem solving. We strive to get to the root of the problem be it a test-taking challenge or a problem with foundational concepts. Not very fond of your teacher? Unfortunately, this is often the case. We follow your own pace of learning to achieve results. We love the moment when a student finally understands a topic and starts building self-confidence. My comments on tutoring GED : GED Language Arts section. Implementing study skills and test taking skills.

My teaching style is eclectic. My background as a yoga instructor and massage therapist inform my teaching style in that I teach the student as a whole rather than teaching a subject to a student. I like to use current outside sources whether they be from science or art so that learning stays relevant to today.

UCLA: Math/Science/Computers/Executive Functions

I'm a graduate of UCLA Engineering with a passion for explaining how the physical world works through math and physics along with 14 years of tutoring experience in those subjects, test prep, and mentorship programs. The teaching strategy I believe in emphasizes subject fundamentals, a powerful and necessary tool for higher problem solving. This strategy has proven very effective regardless of the student's educational background or mental ability. Besides being knowledgeable, I am motivating, caring, and patient in guiding your student to academic success! EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONING: Executive Functioning is a separate realm that tutoring can assist in. It deals with cognitive processes including organization, time management, and study skills. Much of the difficulty students face in academic subjects can be attributed to the lack of executive functioning. They either cannot keep up w ... read more

Tutoring has been an extremely rewarding experience. I am an efficient yet compassionate teacher who works well with learners of all ages. I am especially experienced at helping high school students and college students with their analytical reading and writing skills. Besides assisting students academically, I try to set a good example as a mentor and role model. Sharing my own academic experiences with the student creates an atmosphere of trust and respect. It is my belief that tutoring is a holistic endeavor, one predicated on facilitation and teamwork, rather than unilateral instruction.

I use a white board when teach people because I find people get less stressed out when working with a problem if there is less scribbles on the paper. I also have a strong belief that it only takes one good example to understand the problem so I give the people I tutor one really good generic example of the topic and tell them to copy it down and refer to that example often and I find that it helps a lot.
I have a variety of degrees and specialties but math is my strong suite. I have tutored friends with great results. I have helped people in math classes ranging from simple math to statistics and even college level math. I love math and English and I also love working with people of all ages and teaching them to love math as well. I feel that teachers make things more complicated than they need to be and I am great at simplifying explanations for people.
