I tutoring when in high school. I continued to tutor while I was getting my undergrad. I tutored college students from my college and those surrounding me. I have taught at an adult school for a summer while I was getting me credential. It was very rewarding helping people receive their GED and better their lives.I also interned at a Junior High, teaching math. Once I received my credential, I worked at an independent study program for at risk students and again felt great about making a difference in these student's lives. My teaching style is hands on. I give hints and partial answers in an effort to encourage students to think through problems and attempt to solve them. If necessary, I separate an idea into simpler terms, and help students learn each term before continuing. I give examples which illustrate a point or demonstrate a procedure.
