When teaching, I speak with my students about the kinds of activities they feel assist them most in retaining information as well as observing their learning style independently. My approach is to incorporate multiple learning styles (visual, auditory and so on). I also like to incorporate skills training as part of a scenario when possible. Using techniques like appropriate background music, brief stretch breaks, having the children read to Sierra, my golden retriever, are all techniques that I would like to use.
