Experience Summary
I have a business degree in accounting. At the time I earned my degree, I was working a full time, managerial position at a government contracting corporation. It took incredible persistence and commitment to completed my degree and maintain an exceptional level of performance on the job.
Since then, I have raised my children and have homeschooled both of my girls for about half of their education. I am patient, persistent, and goal oriented. I am capable of coming up with new and different ways of teaching, if one particular teaching method is not successful for a particular student. Elementary reading, spelling, and math are my strong points. I feel comfortable teaching through the 6th or 7th grade.
Teaching Style
I am patient, kind, and understanding when it comes to teaching. I know that there are many different ways that children can learn. Some methods are better and more effective than others, and I strive to determine what style is the most effective for each student. I strive to make learning fun, because I realize that every child can meet their potential if they are given the proper care and learning environment. My goal is to help the child be successful in their learning, thus rewarding me with success through teaching.
