I believe that each child has its own learning style, therefore as a tutor you must be able to adapt quickly to the specific needs to every child. I think that the most important thing in tutoring is gaining the attention and confidence that you know what you are doing and talking about. I also live by the belief that repetition is the father of learning.
While in college, I have worked with numerous tutoring programs both paid and volunteering.
