My comments on tutoring Composition : I will assist students with breaking Composition down into specific steps,where by students gain increased proficiency and confidence. .

I have taught in a wide variety of educational settings. These settings include working in the public schools With Educable Mentally Challenged students,Multilingual classrooms and several self contained elementary classes.I have taught in educational cooperatives, Homeschooled my own children up to college and tutored. I have worked one on one with students who are Gifted , Gifted LD, mainstream, imigrant/ culturally distinct. I love seeing people soar like Eagles
I work best in one on one or small groups. I am capable with larger groups as well. My favorite approach is the Charlotte Mason approach. I have worked with a wide variety of Educational Philosophies/Methods and will draw from them when needed.

My comments on tutoring Composition : The importance of composition is to help develop one's thoughts on any subject. The creative process needs a good framework to help present those ideas for others to follow. The importance of using only one's own ideas or the importance of giving credit to others when you site their work is also important to emphasize.

My teaching style needs to respond to the needs of the individual. There are several styles of learning so I need to understand the individual to best know how to teach them the skills they need to pass the course.
I have worked in several different types of industries from hotels, restaurants, travel, mortgage companies, transportation, banks, theater, real estate and other primarily service businesses. Most of my interests lie in the financial and accounting parts of these businesses because of the importance of not only being able to present an accurate picture of the company's condition at only one time, but also to make sure that there were no mistakes, thefts being covered up, or other discrepancies. Very large companies have had loans go bad due to the improper accounting of transactions by the business owners.

I really like to tailor my style to each student. I also believe that when it comes to math, students often need as much help getting over their fear of math as they do with the actual concepts. I have had good experience designing science experiments and hands-on projects to help demonstrate science concepts and bring these concepts to life. My experience has been in training staff in accounting and tutoring nephews and nieces in school. I tutored my niece, Amanda, who was a D- student in math. She believed she was not smart enough. With my tutoring her to look at math differently, she improved her grades to an A. Even the teacher was quite surprised at the quick turnaround. Her fear of subjects, especially math, shut her off from learning. While I have no direct teaching experience, I have years of devotion to training many different kinds of people for many different kinds of positions throughout my career.
