Teaching can be a most wonderful adventure. I believe every child can learn. At times students or overwhelming with new concepts, and they need to be encouraged, and praise until they can accomplish the task at hand. I enjoy seeing the appearence of awareness on a childs face, when they have accomplished a goal, or solved a problem they had difficulty solving. For many years I have worked with youth, and I hope to continue doing so. I love children and have a passion for mentoring and educating. A Little Bit About Me...

I taught a 5th grade for half a year in Missouri directly after graduating from college in January. I then taught a 5th/6th combination grade for one year when I moved to Colorado. After my marriage, I did substitute teaching for about 3 years. My most recent teaching experience was eight months of substitute teaching for K-8th grade in 2007. I have periodically tutored over the years in all subjects for students in elementary school.
I especially enjoy building the self confidence of students that have failed in an area. I believe their attitude about themselves plays a huge role in their ability to learn. I also try to create a firm foundation of basics so that they are able to easily build on that.

A Little Bit About Me...

As teaching is my passion and profession it has taught me a lot. I am currently in the middle of getting my teaching credentials. As well as learning about teaching, I have earned my Bachelor's of Arts in Economics. I got my degree in India because I wanted to do something unique. My approach to teaching math and science is to thoroughly prepare a student by first emphasizing the fundamentals. Too many students get "lost" if advanced concepts are taught too soon. Then, once a student is ready, the studies should emphasize the students strengths and interests to the utmost possible.
