I have been a Special Education Teacher since 1998 and have most enjoyed and excelled with students through teaching reading skills. I have exceptional skills in motivating students to learn how to read. I passed the Reading Teacher Certification Test in November and am waiting for my official certificate with Reading Teacher added. I have 7 1/2 years of teaching special education in Illinois and Missouri.I am an IL certified Reading Teacher. A Little Bit About Me...

I have recently completed student teaching and have earned my teaching certificate as an art specialist. I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of students at different levels with varying abilities. I have had internships at the high school and elementary levels, with time spent both in the art classroom as well as the special education classroom. As a substitute teacher, I learned to manage an array of classrooms and assumed all duties of a regular classroom teacher. While working for a day camp, I organized and led activities for diverse students ranging from age five to fifteen.
