Drama is one of my top subjects! I have learned a lot about drama since both of my children have been very involved with theater. I myself have been on stage several times but my favorite is backstage. I can show you the basics of theater and help coach you what directors are looking for. I am NOT a professional or certified but have a ton of hands on experience in community theater. Thanks. I have NOT experienced on camera though, sorry. Strictly Stage Acting!

I have no degrees or teaching credentials but love to share my knowledge and teach others skills I consider myself pretty good at. I'm very understanding, kind and hard working. I will give you my best.
Typing: 4 yrs. High School typing classes and years of typing on the home computer. I did take a couple R.O.P. classes on computer programs but have forgotten most of what I was taught since I didn't use it. I learn very quickly and can figure things out pretty well if I don't know how it works. I type 58 words per minute without looking at the keyboard. Drama: Involved with theater for approx. 5 to 6 yrs. On stage and back stage experience. No on camera experience. Also directed a show. Love theater and I know the basics and would love to help you learn. Reading: Taught my children, volunteered and worked in school. Love to read to and also help people learn to rea ... read more

Working in volunteer capacities through various avenues I have been inspired to reach to higher education. I want to share the many things I have learned with the students in the Valley. I want to inspire students to seek higher academic learning goals. Motivating students to open avenues of literacy is my desire. I have spent many hours in volunteer capacity working with some of the excellent staff of the Hemet School District. Educating the students of today takes dedication, motivation, and a devotion to the students of this Valley. I possess those three attributes and through student teaching I have been able to use those attributes in a classroom setting.
I have been a parent volunteer tutoring elementary children for over 13 years. I did a long-term sub for a middle school charter school in 2008-2009 and implemented a tutoring progrma for the students who need extra supp ... read more

Tutoring is a profession which I have enjoyed for over nine years, often while teaching in the classroom or online, concurrently. I was able to teach multi-subjects to college students because I excelled in all subjects myself, receiving numerous scholarship awards and honors. I chose after school tutoring as my extra duty assignment while teaching middle school and high school. I enjoy tutoring students because I experience the moment of “Ah ha, now I get it!” with them.
I am eclectic in my approaches towards teaching, ranging from Montessori and Classroom Without Walls, to Behaviorist and Cognitive approaches. I use what is observable, measurable, and works. I am always prepared to pull a rabbit out of my hat, and I always prepare additional alternative lesson plans in case an approach does not seem doable. I begin tutor sessions with interviews to assess goals. The ultimate goa ... read more

I have had the experience to maintain patience when teaching students. I have always loved helping children become confident in who they are as well as in achieving their academic potential. I make an effort to create a comfortable environment where students are able to approach me for all their questions as we work to improve the skills they must have for a future full of hope and opportunity.
I was a foster parent for fourteen years in which I spent numerous hours with each child weekly working with them to improve their academic skills. I taught a 4th/5th grade class in the 2006/2007 school year. I graduated with a 3.92 GPA where I excelled as a writer. I currently write the company newsletter at my place of employment. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a very goal oriented person and expect those around me to posses the same quality. I have a great deal of patience, a positive attitude and I love helping students do well. While under pressure, I always maintain a positive attitude. I recently obtained my BA in Sociology from the University of California, Riverside and I am very eager to continue my work with students and provide them the best assistance possible to ensure they excel in all that they do. My work background and coursework have supplied me with an understanding of dealing with the adolescent community. I want to make a difference in the lives of the students I teach so that they will be motivated to do the same.
Over the past 3 years, I have assisted students with very different personalities. Some were excited to receive the help while others were embarrassed to need it. My main goal when teaching is allowing ... read more

I have been working with writers and self-publishing authors for ten years. Students I tutor in English, writing and test preparation are from junior high to college level. Am especially good with bi-cultural background students who want to learn, but know more than their parents or peers at school. Have assisted students improving grades from mediocre to B+ or A level with consistent help and student commitment.
I am eager to help students get through school with less stress and more confidence in their learning abilities. Any student can succeed in education and life goals with top reading skills, so I concentrate on moving them through difficult assignments and future goals. Am a good communicator and empathetic instructor. Background, school and current desires, I take all into consideration on an individual basis.

A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy teaching children and seeing their faces when something clicks in their head. This year my oldest son has started kindergarten and it has been an amazing experience seeing how much he has learned this past year. I substitute teach two days a week and I really strive to use different ways to teach the children because I know that not every child learns the same way. I try visual examples for visual learners or I try other different examples so that the children can learn in a way that suits them.
For the past two years I have been substitute teaching in the Romoland School District. I graduated from college seven years ago and after graduating I started the procedure of getting my teaching credential but never completed the process. I did, however, observe two different children in two different classrooms. I, also, worked at In-N-Out Burger for six years during which ... read more

Find out what level the student is at, what their interest are, what the like about learning or hate about learning and go from their. As each person is different and each person learns in their own way. Learning is not hard, finding out how to learn is.
As a Merchant Marine and Chief Steward I have taught, tutored, or mentor kids of all ages and backgrounds. My passion when teaching is to try and breakdown the subject to it's most basic level. A level that the person being taught can understand. Having work with kids from different ethnic and educational backgrounds I find this to be very affective and productive. Also, not having been a great student in high school with dyslexia, I have been able to over come these short comings and graduate from collage with honors.

As a graduate from one of the most prestigious schools in the world, I have the training and experience to motivate and improve a child's ability to learn. I have been a music teacher for four years, working with children of all ages; I am currently working with a special needs child to play the piano. In addition to music, I have written many essays and was encouraged to be an english teach by one of my professors at Cal-state Fullerton.
I am a very encouraging and positive teacher. Growing up with seven siblings, I have learned that patience is the best virtue and children need a stress-free enviroment. I love to use analogies and stories to motivate children to enjoy the sessions. I always felt that it was my mission not to be the "typical" tutor; I want children to look forward learning.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have always had a strong drive for educational excellence. My two degrees have helped me become successful in my career as an Operations Manager for an international, multi-million dollar company. While earning my BA in Liberal Studies I have increased my grammatical skills while writing many research papers for an array of subjects. My MBA has allowed me to develop better analytical skills and improve my “out-side-the-box” thinking. Both degrees have helped me become a more confident public speaker.
I have always had a desire to work with children. I have had the opportunity to mentor children while coaching youth sports, tutoring one-on-one, and interning at an elementary school. I am extremely patient, easy to work with and understand that all people have different learning styles. My goal is to guide your student to success and I believe it can be achieved through dedi ... read more

I believe children learn when you meet them at their own level, whatever that may be. Once you discover what the student knows, you can take the next step by building on that knowledge. I believe in small, successful steps. Once a student grasps a concept, it is evident in their face. I believe in leaving a student's learning session on a positive note.
I have worked for over 30 years in the field of teaching, both elementary students and special education students of all ages. I earned my BS in Child Development/Special Education from the Universisty of La Verne, CA. I have been a Substitute Teacher in the San Bernardino City Unified School District for nine and one-half years. I feel my greatest skill is in breaking down subject matter into smaller components until understanding occurs.
