Guitar is one of my top subjects!

Through my educational studies and life experiences I have gained a firm grasp and appreciation for Mandarin Chinese and Chinese culture. Furthermore, I am a gifted teacher and wish to share my knowledge of China, as well as other subjects like music, history, and art, with others who may find some facets of these subjects to be challenging.
Mandarin Chinese - I use Total Physical Response Teaching (TPRS) when teaching elementary aged novice learners, which teaches Chinese as well as American Sign Language. History - I teach history using the many multi-media databases that I subscribe to each month. Musical instruments - patience and hands on. I ask the student what song they want to learn and start learning the first lesson.

A Little Bit About Me...

My bachelor's degree in English serves as an example for the effort and time committed to education and a service to academia. I learned literary skills concerning literary forms: folklore, poetry, short story, photography, personal essay, analytical essay. My two years of high school Spanish, one year of College French, and completion of breadth college requirements provide a slight ability for me to tutor Spanish and French language, computer navigation, basic algebraic math, and basic social studies. During the last three years I tutored ESL, reading, and Astronomy at Chaffey College, overlooked K-12 after-school P.E. programs with the Boys and Girls Club, and facilitated a course in wheelchair basketball and disability at UC Berkeley.
