In college I held a double major in English/French. I am an American by birth, but my formative years were spent in the French-speaking cultures of Haiti and Martinique. I have many years experience mentoring and teaching children from pre-K to middle shool. I have worked as a substitute teacher, kindergarten leader, Bible class leader, club director and instructor and librarian.
Children are a great source of knowledge and very bright. I prefer to present a subject of study, encourage original thought, and refrain as much as possible from talking at them. I enjoy watching young imaginations expand. I believe a greater understading comes with a hands-on aproach. Teaching should be fun and creative, and adaptive to each personality.

I have worked with children and young people all my adult life from teaching VBS as a teenager to presently being a tutor and substitute teacher.
