A Little Bit About Me...

Maintaining a good GPA was something extremely important to me during my academic years both in high school and in college. This is why I believe that everyone should have the opportunity and access to improve a certain academic area through the help of competent tutors like myself. Having earned a Bachelor Degree in Social Science with a primary field in Sociology and two secondary fields in Psychology and Ethnic Studies with University Honors, have enabled me to gain a better understanding of the society we live in today. I like to teach individual or group lessons. At college of the Desert, I had a reputation for being an easy going with a lot of patience when tutoring. My teaching philosophy is to listen to the student and to focus in his or hers needs. I use scientific or graphic calculators when needed. I really enjoy tutoring kids in science classes because it is something that interests me and that I understand, so I want anyone who I tutor to know everything that I know. Since I am set to going to Physical Therapy school in 2010, it is a subject that I have to know very well, therefore, I have a lot of information about it.
I graduated from Cal Baptist University with a 3.87 GPA. My major was Kinesiology with concentrations in exercise science and physical education. During my senior year in college, I would regularly tutor my fellow classmates in anatomy and physiology and I am just finishing up taking biology at College of the Desert.
