Learning can be fun!!

When tutoring, I strive to make lessons engaging, effective and enjoyable. Specifically, I tailor lessons according to an individual student's needs and involve students in a dialogue by asking questions that provoke thought, conversation, and perhaps humor. Because facts and figures are easily looked up in the information age, I place particular emphasis on thinking and on "learning how to learn". My teaching goals for any student are threefold: 1. learn the material (well!) 2. pass the test/subject (with a comfortable margin!), and 3. enjoy it (most challenging with math!).

I am a person that is driven by the joy you get when a student finally understand something they didn't think they could. I am a teacher that will change my approach depending on the student and I will not stop until I am sure that they "get it". My strengths are physics, chemistry and math and i love making these subjects fun for all ages.
As engineering student I was always dedicated to my studies,and I truly enjoy learning. During my high school and college years I was a swimming coach at the local swim club and that is were I realized my love for teaching. After moving to the U.S. I worked as a substitute teacher for the desert sands unified school district for almost 8 months before entering my CLS training program. I am currently working with the School of medical technology program to enhance the curriculum and better the educational experience.

I worked with students from the age of eight to eighteen. Each age group provided its own set of challenges and opportunities to strengthen my experience as a tutor. I worked with children in small groups or one-on-one, based on the child's learning style.
