A Little Bit About Me...

Public school is not always rigorous enough for gifted students. When instruction fails to keep students engaged, they learn poor study habits. Ideally, students master study techniques before entering college either through school instruction or tutoring. I have writing, public speaking and other communications courses at the university level. I have also worked as an editor for the better part of two decades so I am good at identifying writing problems and helping students to correct them. I am also an enthusiastic student of American history and government and enjoy sharing that subject with students.

Because I have a passion for learning, I love to share my own knowledge with others. Because of my own children, I understand that every person has their own style of learning and I love to discover that avenue for people to help them to grasp whatever it is they are trying to understand.
As a graduate of Wellesley College, I continaully strived to do achieve a high level of excellence. One of my biggest regrets in life is that I didn't get a teaching certification while I was in college. It is a profession which I would truly love.
