After graduating college in 2006 with a degree in English I accepted the position of service coordinator in a private Catholic High School. Along with creating meaningful service experiences and coordinating immersion trips, I have been teaching 9th grade religion for 5 years. I have worked with students of all ages, but my experience tutoring is primarily with English term papers. Currently I am studying to be a school counselor and am skilled in college counseling as well as all school counseling curriculum. A Little Bit About Me...

Since my years as an undergraduate student, one of my passions has always been giving back to the community through tutoring and mentoring. Over the past eleven years, I have tutored countless times, particularly in research paper and essay writing (in various disciplines), literature, and even mathematics. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Education and seek to continue giving back in this way!
As an Education Director at a Boys & Girls Club, I taught in the non-traditional sense, through after school literature-enhancing programming of various kinds. I received my first tutoring credential in the early 1970's specializing in prep-school placement tests, college-board prep etc. While attending Grad-School (Temple University) in the mid-70's; I worked as a substitute teacher in the Arch-Diocese of Phila. on a high-school level, primarily instructing History. At seventeen I completed the Evelyn Wood speed reading course, not that that is directly relevant to my teaching style. During the past 20 yrs. I have had a credential in several states, but have tutored only on a volunteer level.
My forte is adapting to the individual student.
