Completed small computer systems course in the United States Marine Corps in 1999. Self-taught html while in the Marine Corps. Completed Computer Networking and Hardware course at Computer Tutor in 2002. Passed Computer Hardware & Assembly course with a B at Columbia College in Sonora, CA (2008-2009). I have had 22 years total of tutoring experience, worked for six different supplemental educational services tutoring providers, worked for three different online tutoring companies, and have eleven years of experience as an ESL Teacher. I have spent 2 years assisting elementary school teachers, grades kindergarten/1st/2nd. I was mainly involved in learning activities which consisted of reading, writing, spelling, and object identification. I was also involved in assisting the kids in group activities such as arts and crafts and outside activities. I've also graded students classwork and homework, and participated in story time, in which I read a variety of books to kids while providing mental stimulation as well as verbal entertainment.

My comments on tutoring Microsoft PowerPoint : I have taken classes regarding PowerPoint and I know this program very well.

I am very hands on. I prefer to assess my students needs and then approach the subject to the area they specifically need help in. I have a lot of patience and am not afraid to spend a lot of time working on one or two things. If I can find a way, I like to make tutoring of studying a game or find easy ways to help my student(s) remember things better. Fun learning in my opinion, is the best way to learn.
I was a tutor in High School to the AVID students, I also volunteer tutored while attending junior college. I have experience helping mostly high school students but I feel comfortable and I am experienced enough to help middle school and elementary school children. I was also a nanny for close to 2 years and during that time, I tutored a teen who has Autism in all school subjects and was successful in helping her raise her grades and be able to study independently.

Education is key to a good life.

As of 2012 I am going to be a Junior in Highschool. I have passed all my classes with a C+ or higher and I am able to teach younger children great. I can relate to the kids having issues with school education because when I was younger it took alot for me to strive but I found that motivation and improved since then.
