I volunteered my services as an IT Consultant to DSBI (Dream it, See it, Be it) Academic Achievement Services/ City of Modesto to assist the impoverished locals get needed education. I taught for twenty five years at the middle school level mostly in a self contained sixth grade classroom. In addition to teaching reading, English, math, science,and social studies, I taught electives is video filming and remedial reading. In my experience as a teacher, I discovered that all students can learn if they are properly motivated. I found that I could best motivate a student if I found what they were interested in, and what grade level they were working at. I also worked for five years as a substitute teacher.

I have a two year elementary teacher certificate from Fiji where I taught school for five years before I got a scholarship to study in Hawaii. I noticed a great difference between American students and Polynesian students. Polynesian students are very passive learners and will never dare ask questions in class. The teacher can do pretty much anything he/she wants to do with little or no major challenges. American students on the other hand are full of life and excitement in the classroom and ask all kinds of questions that they could think of.
