I have 30 years experience in the field of education. I have been a dedicated, resourceful, and a goal-driven professional educator with commitment to educational growth for our children.I have tutored in English/Grammar,Math, Social Studies,Geography,Science,the Arts, and Writing.I adhere to a child's learning style and abilities. Interpersonal and communication skills with parent/teacher is also important.
I enjoy watching children learn in a fun way by identifying and using the learning style that works best for them. I've assessed the subject areas to be taught to have a general idea of area to focus on and that needs reinforcement. I like to identify and set goals to be reached and pace accordingly. I believe in consistency assuring success and meeting goals in a way a child will feel confident about him/herself in their learning experience.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have not taught anyone or tutored anyone for money. However, I would like to have the oppitunity to be able to tutor children or young adults on their way of the journey of life. I too was tutored going through school and not just once. I attended Sylvin Learning Center every other year since sixth grade. It helped me understand the areas that I didnt and excel in the areas I did. I would like to give thas opportunity to someone else.
I learned through visual aid. So, I guess I would lean towards this style of teaching. However, if a student learns better with audio aid then I would be willing to combine the two methods to better educate the student. My goal is to provide the best education possible and to suceed in that is to have great communication and alittle fun doing the work that is expected.
