My teaching style is based on principles of respect, creativity, and growth. I start by establishing a personal connection to the student. Without their buy-in, anything you try to teach will be lost. Once I understand what motivates the student and what they feel successful at, I can begin to design a program that will meet their needs and allow them to feel success. I like to be friendly with them while still being an authority figure where they want to do their best. I think this type of relationship allows me to push the students to their maximum limit without discouraging them when we're having a difficult session.
