During my undergraduate studies I tutored at Delta College's Teaching/Learning Center for almost 2 years. While working there I received an award for Tutor of the Year. Delta College being a community college with a wide range of students I have worked with students of all ages and backgrounds. I focused mainly in the areas of Mathematics and Computer Science. Since my job at Delta College I have also tutored privately.
I like to approach tutoring on an individual basis. I like to learn what works best for each student and help them understand a subject in the way which best suits them. I believe that anyone is capable of learning anything if it is explained to them in the right way. I am a certified teacher with masters degree in Mathematics from Central Michigan University. My bachelors degree is in secondary education with major in Mathematics and minor in Psychology. As a graduate assistant in CMU, I have taught College Algebra and Intermediate Algebra courses for two years. I have also worked at Sylvan Learning Center as a MATH/ACT instructor and taught as an ACT prep workshop instructor at Saginaw valley State University. Besides I have tutored groups of students who needed help with different areas of Math or ACT testing for more than 8 years.
