My comments on tutoring Logic : I have taught Logic in a classroom environment.

I am a teacher with 7 years of classroom experience. My degree is in English, but I have taught in many other areas, including math, history, logic, and rhetoric. I have also tutored many students in grammar and writing, as well as Algebra I and II. I have been responsible for teaching books to students from American Literature (Hawthorne and Hemingway), European Literature (Dickens and Shakespeare), and World Literature (Gilgamesh and Homer).
I prefer the Socratic method of asking/answering questions and discussion, but I am more than capable of diverting to a more lecture style of teaching if that is what works with the student. I tailor my teaching style to the strengths of the student.

I first and foremost believe that every child can learn, and I refuse to entertain any idea that says otherwise. I have found that a constructivist approach works best for most children, and I will always try this approach first. I try to make learning as hands on and relevant to the real world as possible.
I graduated from one of the top teaching schools in the nation (according to NCATE), and have a degree in elementary and special education. I specialized in math education, but am also qualified to teach English, science, and social studies. I have worked with children as young as 2 years old and as old as 15 in a formal setting. I have helped children go from hating a subject to being successful and loving it.

A Little Bit About Me...

There are times when we need someone else to show us our potential and the talents we have. I was blessed to have someone who showed me my abilities in relation to my character and became a tutor for peers and children younger than me starting at the age 11.Prior to graduating High School I completed Algebra 2/ Trig. I am currently seeking my Bachelor's in Information Technology, and will be beginning session to tutor for Mathematics in regards to the ACT. I have also tutored students seeking a GED.
