I've taught and tutored both accounting and math on the college level. I'm a CPA by training , and my resume includes working in public accounting and Federal and state government. I've taught/tutored math since 1981, and have taught both accounting and math to studewnts of varying demographics. I've been told that I have an ability to "demystify" many math concepts to increase student knowledge. I've researched "math anxiety" and try to help students grasp various math content ares relevant to their needs. Developmental math is a one of my strong points. Experienced high school and middle school math tutor

When tutoring, I try to meet the students needs by utilizing methods of teaching which take into consideration the student's learning style. I explain concepts using visual representations as well as numerical/algebraic models. I am a very patient teacher who will find various ways of explaining math concepts, until I find one that works for the student.
