I led a semester long Beacon tutoring supplement course in Organic Chemistry that supported 20 junior college students. In middle school and high school, I took every Honors and Advanced Placement math and science class offered. In college I have taken differential equations, single and multi-variable calculus and physics for engineers. I am patient yet firm. My personal background in mathematics was fairly rigorous, so I always make my students show their work. As the subject material gets tougher, it becomes more critical to be able to check all stages of one's work. One of my math teachers gave me some sage advice: "Math teachers are lazy.
