A Little Bit About Me...

I have successfully completed a Beacon tutor course in preparation for individual and group tutor sessions. I led a semester long Beacon tutoring supplement course in Organic Chemistry that supported 20 junior college students. I have effectively tutored/mentored a number of high school students in general education coursework, organizational skills, and in preparation for exit examinations. I have conducted community based math group sessions for junior high and high school students. Finally, I have supported 1st and 2nd grade elementary school students in math and reading comprehension. I personally create and provide worksheets and additional materials to support students' mastery of coursework. Students under my mentorship have achieved at least a 40% increase on grade reports and above average scores on examinations.

Hello, My name is Brian and I majored in Electrical Engineering at the University of California, Riverside. In middle school and high school, I took every Honors and Advanced Placement math and science class offered. In college I have taken differential equations, single and multi-variable calculus and physics for engineers. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a graduate of Chico State with a BS in Computer Science and I was a student of their honors program. I was not a formal tutor, but I spent a lot of time with junior classmates helping them to understand their projects and meet their deadlines. After graduating, I worked as an instructor at Mendocino College. I taught computer science classes to young adults from different backgrounds and with different learning styles.
