For as far back as I can remember I have wanted to be a teacher; education is very important to me. I have earned a Bachelors of Arts in Liberal Studies from California State University, Long Beach--I graduated in May of 2011. After graduating from UCI, I studied abroad in Spain. Beginning with the intermediate level, I achieved the advanced level in 3 months. Later, in Peace Corps, I trained in Kyrgyz language, and reached the advance level in 10 weeks where I also learned successful methods of intensive training, and continue to apply it in my classrooms. My innovative approach to tutoring is using the Sokratic Method while transcribing the results of the process. All questioning and answering derived from this method is meticulously and clearly documented on paper and in audio (later burned to a CD) for the pupil to refer back to as study material. This is a powerful study tool after the pupil's knowledge has been scrutinized, as it helps them visualize and review their thinking and learning.
