Teaching is my passion. I strongly believe that every moment is a teaching moment, whether or not it is intended to be. I feel that my job as a tutor and as a teacher is to bring out the knowledge within. I understand that every learner is different and for this reason I begin with an assessment of each student. I then try to use their learning habits as a start for future lessons. A Little Bit About Me...

Throughout my education, I have come to learn and adapt to many different types of learners. I understand that students many require alternative teaching methods to accommodate to their personal needs and I enjoy the challenge. Personally, I am a visual learner, however I always make my best attempt to address auditory and tactile learners. In doing so, I have seem the motivation in students increase which has been shown in their test scores and overall grades.

A Little Bit About Me...

My approach to teaching is more of a "why" approach. It is more important for students to know why something is or works rather than just how. This approach works well for middle and high school students. It allows students not only to understand the ideas taught but to apply them to other areas as well. I also like to use visual aids as well as conversation. I have found that many of us vary widely in learning styles. Some are visual learners, others are audio learners, and still others are a combination. I work well one-on-one but also enjoy small groups. I look forward to working with you or your children to produce results they can be proud of.
