I love helping children learn.

I have helped my cousins, which are 9 and 11, in school for years with reading and writing. I am also able to help in environmental science and economics. In high school I completed both with an A-. I have also taken A computer class and a business class at Muskegon Community College and excelled at both. I am able to help a student learn to type more effectively. I am also able to tailor my teaching style around the student.
I meet the student and work around their specific needs. If they are more energetic then I find things that will not only help them learn but will also allow them to use some of their excess energy. However if the student is more laid back I find more calm and relaxing ways to help them understand. I have a rewards system that allows the student to earn tickets that they can later use to get things that they can use.

A Little Bit About Me...

My goal is to help students relize that they can learn. I want for students to make connections between what interests them and learning. I don't thik every student learns the same way but I do believe that every student can learn you just have to find that fire inside them and light it. Each and every student that I have taught I have also learned from.
My experience working as an educator for the Taylor County School District in Perry Florida has been rewarding fulfilling and incredibly enjoyable. I am an oustanding highly qualified teacher certified in elmentary education K-6. I also have been an after school tutor. A Little Bit About Me...

I have a simple teaching style. I teach according to the students needs. I try to get a sense of how the student learns best and let them direct me to what they need. I teach the student to teach themselves. I have had great sucess with my approach in the past, as this is a very self-rewarding experience for the student. I have often found that students soon catch-on and then begin to excell on their own. I have used these techniques to tutor algebra, geometry, algebra II and psychology, political science, anatomy and physiology. I love to see that look in a students' eyes when they "get it!"

Everyone learns best in different ways, and it is important to remember this when tutoring or teaching. Whereas some learn best with visualizations, others learn by listening.
