I studied post secondary in high school and graduated in the top ten of my class. I was on the deans list every year of my college career. I was a teachers aid at the University of Minnesota for three years in the anatomy department. I was a the lead embalmer for the University and worked for the Anatomy bequest program. I was licensed in mortuary science in 2007 and have been working as a funeral director and Retail manager for the past three years.
I believe that the purpose of tutoring is to help students help themselves, or to assist or guide them to the point at which they become an independent learner. I worked as a teaching assistant in chemistry labs while in school at South Dakota and Mankato State U. I had about 8 years ttotal though I only had 2 or so labs weekly during the school year. Work Experience My most recent work was at Hutchinson Technology Incorporated (HTI), 40 West Highland Park Drive NE, Hutchinson, MN, 55350-9784, (320-587-3797) from 5-3-04 to 6-10-07. The work required use of autotitraters, pH meters, conductivity meters, ORP meters, atomic absorption spectrophotometry, UV/Vis spectrophotometry, viscosity testing, Karl Fischer water testing, gas chromatography, density/specific gravity testers, and the LIMS program on pc’s for data handling. Some reagent making was required also.
