A Little Bit About Me...

As a Liberal Studies major at California State University of Bakersfield, the majority of the classes were aimed at how to teach children and how to teach different learning types. Especially as a math concentration, I took many math courses and above knowing many techniques on teaching math, I truly understand it and enjoy it. I graduated Magna Cum Laude and with two honor societies, one recognizing the top three percent in teaching, I know I can reach many children effectively. Through the courses I worked in the classroom and after graduating I substitute taught, in both instances I worked one on one with children.

I started teaching Sunday School when I was in Junior High. I taught a little boy in my class how to read and it was the most rewarding experience I have ever encountered. As aforementioned, throughout high school, I began tutoring students in Math, English, Spanish, Science, and History. I tutored one 6th grade student who was ADHD. He had several tutors before me, but none had the patience to work with him. I started tutoring him and fell in love with this particular child.
