A Little Bit About Me...

In the past I have worked as both a teachers aide/paraprofessional and substitute teacher for a total of 4 years. While working as a teachers aide I worked with individual and groups of elementary level students on course work throughout the day. This included things like: helping students with math homework, listening to students read and helping them with reading comprehension, helping students prepare for tests by quizzing them. I currently work as a pre-k teacher. My work day consists of teaching my students their numbers, letters, letter sounds, and basic counting. As a student at Kansas State University, I am currently enrolled in the Architectural Engineering degree and I am completing my last math class as of now. I believe I would be a great candidate for this position because I have recently taken the three calculus classes and now differential equations. Also, i have an extensive background in different fields of physics which broadens of the everyday use of math as well.
From past experience I have learned that everyone has a specific way of learning and therefore you must accompany to that. I believe that patience is one of the most important qualities any tutor could have. I believe once students realize that everyone needs help in life, whether it be work or school, they will succeed and completely change their view on tutors and their future education.
