A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style alters with the needs of the students I am working with. Students learn through a variety of ways, and it is important to teach to how they best learn. In the past I have worked as both a teachers aide/paraprofessional and substitute teacher for a total of 4 years. While working as a teachers aide I worked with individual and groups of elementary level students on course work throughout the day. From past experience I have learned that everyone has a specific way of learning and therefore you must accompany to that. I believe that patience is one of the most important qualities any tutor could have. I believe once students realize that everyone needs help in life, whether it be work or school, they will succeed and completely change their view on tutors and their future education.
As a student at Kansas State University, I am currently enrolled in the Architectural Engineering degree and I am completing my last math class as of now. Teaching, in some form, has been a part of my life for the last 20 years. During that time I discovered for myself that students learn in different ways.
