I have 6 years working with students from grade level 5 to grade level 9,individually in classroom settings as well as in small groups outside their normal classroom. Four and on half of these years were spent in the ELL Program helping Hispanic students to incorporate their use of the English Language in their classroom academics. I have the ability to speak Spanish fluently, as well as read and write it. I also have spent four years teaching an after school class helping some struggling students with their Math, Language Arts, and Science homework. Since I have been employed in the ELL Program, I am very comfortable working with small groups of kids and also in a one on one format.

We all have different views, and I would like to find that gateway into the minds of children so that they can see and understand more. I use different methods for each individual. It depends on each person what they like and want in order to find the motivation in themselves. It is satisfying to see people realize that they can achieve more than they first thought. I have earned a bachelor of science degree in General Science, which means I have a very good understanding of many topics including: Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Physics, Computers, and Arts. I have experience in being a leader of 10-16 people in the military as an officer. I enjoyed teaching people of their oppurtunities in furthering their education. During late nights I tutored friends in Calculus and Biology.

I learn in the most unheard of ways, and every childs learning style is different from the other, but that is what makes learning so fun. I aim for success and my mentoring experience for first year college students makes me a firm believer in meeting individual goals. I think that once the student finds what works best for them there is no holding them back. The discovery is the most important aspect in every childs life. I stive to give them the opportunity to reach their greatest potential and to reach for the stars from there. I attended Heritage University for 3.5 years in pursuit of my Nursing degree. I love teaching and working with all ages. I believe that every student can achieve their full potential if given the needed encouragement, skills, and time.
