As a graduate student studying biology at the New Mexico Highlands University (NMHU), I was a teaching assistant (TA) assisting in preparing and conducting laboratory experiments in biology with undergraduate students at NMHU. I prepare laboratory research outlines before sessions and grade laboratory reports. My teaching style is that of empowerment. I believe everyone is capable of producing great written works and try to guide an individual through exploring their writing style and voice. My method is not to tell a writer how to write an assignment, but to offer guidance and feedback.
