I like to take a relaxed approach to teaching. I try to apply problems to real-life situations to make them easier to relate to. My goal is that the student will learn the material well enough to handle the situation when it resurfaces later. I have taken care of children in the past and helped them with their homework. I am able to break a complex problem into small, discrete steps which the students seem to appreciate. An approach I use in my teaching is the I rarely will tell the student outright what to do to get the answer or just what the answer is.
